Axis Bank has jumped 2.4 per cent at Rs 560.
ONGC and Infosys have rallied 1.3 per cent each at Rs 350 and Rs 2,193, respectively.Cipla has spurted 1.2 per cent at Rs 651.
Hindustan Unilever, Wipro, ICICI Bank, L&T, Dr.Reddy and Bajaj Auto are the other notable gainers.
On the other hand, Reliance and NTPC have dropped nearly 2 per cent each at Rs 886 and Rs 141, respectively.
SBI and Hero MotoCorp have shed almost a per cent each at Rs 322 and Rs 2,851, respectively.
Hindalco, Maruti, HDFC, ITC and Tata Power are the other notable losers.
