Share market update: Metal shares decline; JSPL slips 3%

Metal shares were trading with losses in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Jindal Steel & Power (down 3.32 percent), Steel Authority of India (SAILNSE -3.42 %) (down 3.29 percent), Tata SteelNSE -3.30 % (down 3.22 percent) and NMDC (down 2.89 percent) were trading with losses.

JSW Steel (down 2.50 percent), Hindalco Industries (down 2.27 per cent), Vedanta (down 2.18 per cent) and National Aluminium Company (down 1.04 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Metal index was trading 2 percent down at 2579.95 around 10:34 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 28.75 points at 12,019.45, while the BSE Sensex was down 67.19 points at 40,734.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bharti Infratel, SAIL, SBI, ZEEL, Bank of Baroda, Biocon and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
