Tracking global peers, domestic stocks ended lower for the second consecutive day on Monday as uncertainties around coronavirus weighed on investor sentiment. The number of deaths from China's new virus epidemic jumped to 902 after the hardest-hit province of Hubei reported 91 new fatalities. The S&P BSE Sensex declined 162 points or 0.39 percent to end at 40,980. During the session, the index witnessed 373-point swing. NSE's Nifty50 index ended at 12,031.50, down 67 points or 0.55 percent.

U.S. Market- US futures point to cautious open as investors monitor coronavirus. U.S. stock index futures were little changed Monday morning as investors assess the impact of the coronavirus outbreak in China.Dow futures indicated a drop of about 10 points at the open, while futures on the S&P 500 were fractionally lower and the Nasdaq slightly higher.
European markets- Tokyo’s Nikkei 225 NIK, -0.60% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng HSI, -0.59% each shed 0.6%, though the Shanghai Composite Index SHCOMP, +0.51% rebounded and rose 0.5%. In South Korea, the Kospi 180721, -0.49% declined 0.5% while Sydney’s S&P/ASX 200 XJO, -0.14% closed down 0.1%. Markets in New Zealand NZ50GR, -0.50%, Taiwan Y9999, -0.33% and Southeast Asia also retreated. Indonesian stocks slid 1%.
