INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK
After falling over 440 points during the day, the S&P BSE Sensex witnessed sharp recovery in the last hour of the trade to end Tuesday's session at 40,894 levels, down 161 points or 0.39 per cent. IndusInd Bank (down 3 percent) emerged as the biggest loser on the index while SBI (up over 1 percent) ended as the top gainer.
On the NSE, the broader Nifty50 index ended below the crucial 12,000-mark at 11,992.50, down 53 points or 0.44 percent.

In South Korea, the Kospi 180721, -1.48% shed 1.5%, while the Shanghai Composite index SHCOMP, +0.05% finished flat. Australia’s S&P ASX/200 XJO, -0.16% slipped 0.1%. Shares also fell in Taiwan, Singapore, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur but rose in Jakarta.

U.S. Market-– Stocks Fall After Apple Warning; Treasuries RiseOn Tuesday, Walmart is set to report earnings. Stocks fell in Europe along with U.S. equity-index futures after Apple Inc. said quarterly sales would miss forecasts, spooking investors who had hoped for a limited economic impact from the deadly coronavirus. Treasuries rose as American markets re-opened after a holiday.

JSW Energy to buy GMR Energy's Kamalanga power plant 
GMR Energy Limited (GEL), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Limited (GIL), announced the signing of definitive agreements for the sale of its entire stake in GMR Kamalanga Energy Limited (GKEL). GEL shall also procure balance stake in GKEL from IIF and IDFC First Bank, to enable JSW Energy Limited (JSWEL) acquire 100% stake in GKEL, for a total consideration of an amount up to Rs5,321cr (subject to working capital and other adjustments).

HCL Tech signs a contract with New Zealand dairy co-operative Fonterra 
Global technology company HCL Technologies (HCL), announced a new large contract with New Zealand dairy co-operative Fonterra to modernise and manage the entire technology infrastructure Fonterra employees around the world use every day. 
The multi-year partnership with HCL Technologies will consolidate Fonterra’s technology suppliers and bring together the Coop’s IT infrastructure services under one umbrella. The technology edge services provided by HCL will enhance Fonterra’s employee experience, to navigate through their business operations
