INDIAN BENCHMARKS: NIFTY SENSEX YET AGAIN CLOSED AT RECORD HIGHS AMID VOLATILE SESSION

Benchmark indices ended at fresh record closing high today, backed by ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and HDFC.

The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 88.90 points at 34,592.39 and the 50-share NSE Nifty gained 30.10 points at 10,681.30, but Midcap index underperformed.

Infosys Q3 profit jumps 38% on tax reversal; maintains FY18 revenue, EBIT margin guidance
Infosys, the country's second largest software services provider, has reported profit growth of 37.7 percent at Rs 5,129 crore for the quarter against Rs 3,726 crore due to lower tax expenses.
Dollar revenue growth at 1 percent and constant currency revenue at 0.8 percent QoQ.
"Q3 performance is strong. We had 8 percent year-on-year growth and 24.3 percent operating margin with USD 593 million of free cash flow,"
Salil Parekh, CEO & MD said.
EBIT margin was at 24.3 percent for the quarter, better compared to 24.1 percent expected by analysts.

The crucial resistance for Nifty spot is now seen at 10730 and above this 10800.Support for the immediate term is now placed at 10610 and next support will be 10540.
